Approach matters just as much for a race shop as clearance does. A four-post needs enough straight runway to drive a low, wide car onto the ramps without scraping a splitter, and a lot of shops built for general repair work just don’t have that runway laid out. We ask for photos or a rough sketch of the bay before we finalize configuration — sometimes the fix is as simple as rotating the lift ninety degrees, and sometimes it changes which model makes sense entirely.

Step Five: Forklift and Freight Coordination

This sounds like a small detail until it isn’t. A commercial-grade auto lift ships heavy — crated posts, ramps, hydraulic units — and if there’s no forklift on site and no loading dock, unloading becomes a job in itself.
