Not every two-post auto lift has the same arm geometry, and for suspension-heavy shops that matters more than most buyers realize. Asymmetric arms that swing wider under the front end give techs better access to strut towers and lower control arms without the columns blocking movement. Some models also offer taller lift height with shorter arm reach, which works against you if your bay depth is tight and cars need to sit closer to the columns to clear the door.
