If a seal has started to glaze or crack, that’s exactly when you’ll see the bubbling or slow creep that fleet techs report to us — often described as “it’s fine going up, but it slowly lowers on its own once it’s parked at height.”

That’s convenient for high-turnover tire rotation across mixed vehicle types, but it also means the equalizer cables and turn plates on the platform see constant use, and those cables stretch and eventually need replacing just like the cylinder seals do.

A two-post auto lift, by contrast, lifts by the frame and gives techs full access to all four wheels at once without the platform in the way — genuinely useful for wheel-off tire work where speed matters. Plenty of fleet bays run both configurations side by side: four-post drive-on lanes for quick rotations and general parking, two-post bays reserved for brake and suspension work where full wheel access matters more. Whichever setup a fleet chooses, the hydraulic system underneath it needs the same seal attention, and we service both configurations the same way — inspect, diagnose, rebuild or replace, and get the bay back in rotation.
