A two-post lift needs a slab that can handle the point-loading at the columns, and for heavier trucks you want to size the lift correctly rather than push a mid-duty unit past its rating. We always ask about ceiling height and whether there’s 220-volt power within about 50 feet of the install spot, because that’s the one requirement that trips up more shops than anything else.
