Not every lift will hold alignment tolerances. Alignment work demands runway flatness under a full-vehicle load, minimal deflection at the wheel-contact zone, and a way to unweight the wheels for caster sweep. Configuration A: Four-Post Alignment Lift With Rolling Jacks

The four-post alignment lift is what most heavy-alignment shops end up on. Drive-on runways with turnplate pockets at the front, slip plates at the rear, and hydraulic rolling jacks that lift the wheels off the runways for wheel-off inspection.
