The lifting is done by a hydraulic screw or ram inside each column, controlled from a master pendant that talks to every column in the set.

Bay height is the second variable. A Rotary Lift Flex Max column reaches a lift height that will put the underside of a semi tractor around six feet off the ground. Your bay ceiling has to accommodate that height plus the technician’s working headroom plus overhead crane clearance if you have one running.
