If you can turn a wrench, read a manual, and diagnose your way through a mechanical problem — you can install and service automotive lifts. We hire mechanics, ex-military wrenches, diesel techs, ag equipment techs, and mobile mechanics into our field crew all the time. The Role

Install and service automotive and truck lifts for dealer groups, tire chains, collision networks, municipal fleets, and independent shops. On any given day you might be:

Installing a set of two-post lifts at a new dealership build-out (concrete anchoring, cable routing, arm alignment, ALI safety inspection).
Diagnosing a service call on a four-post that’s not synchronizing across its lock positions.
Rebuilding a leaking hydraulic cylinder on a customer’s rotary two-post.
Doing an annual ALI inspection round on a fleet’s entire lift roster.
Loading, delivering, and commissioning a mobile column set at a municipal transit shop.

You’ll represent us at the customer’s shop — explaining what you’re doing, what you found, and what should happen next. Not a heads-down role. The customers you’re working with sign the check, and building relationships with them is part of the job.

Pay

$18–$45/hr depending on experience and certifications.

New hires from another trade during paid training: low-to-mid $20s.
Techs with 1–2 years in the role and ALI certification: mid-$20s to low $30s.
Senior techs with 3+ years, full ALI certifications, and specialty knowledge (heavy-duty truck lifts, alignment systems, hydraulic rebuilds): $32–$45/hr.
Merit-based bumps for jobs completed on time, safely, without callbacks. Techs who install two lifts in a day when the tech next to them installs one make more that day.

Mobile Mechanic Background? Even Better.

If you’ve been doing mobile mechanic work — driving to fleets, servicing equipment in the field, invoicing customers directly — you already know 80% of what this job asks of you. The mechanical side is different (lifts vs. vehicles), but the workflow is identical: show up prepared, diagnose in the field, fix it right the first time, keep the customer informed. Mobile mechanics tend to hit our top pay bands faster than any other cross-trainees.

What You Bring

Mechanical aptitude — a background in wrenching on anything (cars, trucks, ag, diesel, military equipment, industrial machinery) transfers cleanly.
Valid driver’s license, clean-ish record. CDL is a bonus (some of our loads need it) but not required to start.
Ability to read install manuals and diagnostic flowcharts.
Willingness to travel a regional service area. Home most nights, occasional overnights for bigger installs.
The soft skill: customer-facing composure. You’ll be the face of the company at every job.
