Short version: because you’ve forgotten more about work than most 25-year-olds will ever learn. Retirement jobs at a lot of companies mean greeting people at a big-box store or filling in on weekends because they can’t keep enough coverage. That’s not this. When we hire a semi-retired person, it’s because you specifically have something we need — a trade skill, a customer-facing polish, decades of running your own crew, or a relationship you built with dealer principals over a career in the industry.

Roles That Fit Retirees Well

Dream 100 / Relationship Sales — Part-Time

If you spent a career in and around the automotive trade, dealer service departments, tire chains, fleet maintenance, or industrial supply — you know people. We want that. Part-time relationship sales means calling on accounts you already have credibility with, or building new ones on your own schedule. $16–$25/hr base plus uncapped commission on what you close. Field Service / Install Support

If you’ve spent your career installing, servicing, or wrenching on equipment — you can do our work in your sleep. Retired HVAC techs, electricians, mechanics, and industrial equipment installers cross over easily and enjoy the change of pace. Part-time schedule, 2–4 days a week, mostly regional day trips. $18–$45/hr depending on your skill.

Customer & Order Support

Occasional part-time roles handling customer calls, order processing, and dealer follow-up. If you can be pleasant on the phone and are handy with a computer, this is a low-physical-demand option. Hours are flexible.

Shop / Warehouse Support

Part-time hands at our Ames, Iowa headquarters — receiving equipment, staging installs, keeping the yard organized. Physical but not brutal. Good fit for a retired shop guy who wants a couple days a week around equipment and the people who work on it.
