Sound auto repair shop design starts with the path a car takes, not the walls. A vehicle arrives, gets checked in and diagnosed, moves to a work bay, may visit a tire or alignment station, then leaves. Map that journey first and arrange the space to shorten the distance cars and technicians travel between steps. Keep the parts room central, protect a clear lane from the entrance to every bay, and make sure nothing gets boxed in when the shop fills up. Motion that does not add value is cost, and it compounds across every repair order you write. Plan and Size the Bays
