A two-post lift equalizes the two carriages through cables running column to column. Retirement criteria on those cables are the same as any two-post — broken wires under a rag wipe, kinks, obvious corrosion at the terminations, unequal carriage travel — but the XPR-15 cables are heavier gauge than XPR-10 cables and do not cross-order. Installation and service notes
The XPR-15 has to be anchored to a slab that is thick enough, level, and in good condition. BendPak publishes concrete specifications for the model and they should be treated as minimums, not targets. When you re-cable, level the carriages before the first lift under load, and cycle the lift several times to seat new cables. Clean, dry shop air at the FRL is required for the lock release circuit — wet or low air is the number one reason we get called for locks that will not release. On a lift this size, annual anchor bolt torque check is worth putting on the calendar. If any anchor shows corrosion at the slab line or the epoxy is breaking down, cut the anchor out and reset with fresh wedge anchors sized to spec before you put another heavy vehicle on the lift. That kind of preventive work is significantly cheaper than the alternative.
